During the Unit about Egypt, the students learned a lot of and had a journey into the past. We talked about the hieroglyphics, the Nile river, the temples, the pharaohs, the paintings, the papyrus, and, of course, the pyramids. Here you can see the projects about pyramids the students created, using different materials: Lego blocks, straw, and modeling clay. The one with popsicle sticks didn't work very well, for they had to use hot glue. They saw the real pyramids from above and from the street view on Google Maps to have a clear idea about how to build them.
